Cultivating mushrooms with Katherine Ball
We prepared beds of straw where we seeded mushroom spawn. Mycelium the vegetative growth of a fungus took root, it expanded and eventually produced several varieties of mushrooms. Mushrooms that grow on straw beds are filtering rain water. They are edible plants, which we harvested a couple of times.
